I sit in the office at Bertrand while the poor overused van receives some new fluids and bulbs. In the past two weeks, it's gone back and forth to the cottage 3 times, once with the trailer (and with a very heavy couch), as well as all over southwestern Ontario for Kailey and Dan's wedding.
So in a minor state of anger (ok, rage) I accidentally pulled the wire for my Bluetooth mic, and it pulled some of the interior trim on the a-pillar off. Nothing I did could get that panel back on, so I went to Toyota to find out how much a new panel would cost.
The guy at the parts counter suggested I try a clip first. So I bought two, snapped one in, and tried it. Worked so well I can't get the panel off again to install the extra clip. Thanks parts guy at Brimell Toyota - you just saved me some bucks. The clip was $2.40.
Chloe is at a morning playgroup today. She's been driving us a little bit nuts, just typical three year old stuff, but as is typical with such a wide gap between kids, we forgot what 3 was like. Dropoff went well, and i'm picking her up in an hour. Fingers crossed.
We're thinking we timed the cottage perfectly - it seems to me this might be the best week of the summer to be home in air conditioning so far. I'm going to install my in-ceiling rear speakers in the mancave this afternoon, then try to finish cleaning out the furnace room. I'm also painting the kitchen, but not til Thursday. We're going to do the whole thing white, and hopefully slap up a ceiling fan too, finances permitting. That, and finding one Gabi likes. Always an important factor.
Fingers crossed.
